Fight The Good Fight

It was a long night drinking whiskey And I don't drink so my head is turned around After a long flight to another city I can't think cause my head is off the ground But that night came falling down I spilled red wine on the carpet Letting it sink in deep for days So if you ever fall into dementia It won't let you forget I spent a long time swimming to depression It's a state that'll never leave my hands Never a hard time more like motivation Now I blink take a breath and climb the stairs And the night gets lost in air I spilled red wine on your carpet Letting it sink in deep for days And if you ever fall into dementia It won't let you forget

She had a face straight out a magazine God only knows but you’ll never leave her Her balaclava is starting to chafe When she gets his gun, he’s begging Babe stay, stay I'll give you one more time We'll give you one more fight Said one more line Will I know, know? Now if you never shoot, you’ll never know And if you never eat, you’ll never grow You’ve got a pretty kind of dirty face And when she's leaving your home She's begging you to stay stay, stay, stay, stay 'I'll give you one more time We'll give you one more fight Said one more line There'll be a riot, ‘cause I know you Well now that you’ve got your gun It’s much harder now the police have come And I'll shoot him if it's what you ask But if you just take off your mask You'd find out everything’s gone wrong Now everybody’s dead And they’re driving past my old school And he’s got his gun, he’s got his suit on She says, 'Babe, you look so cool' You look so cool

Well I hope someday you love yourself as much As you loved me That's what she wrote to me And I hope someday you find yourself as easily As you found me That's what she wrote to me You look so beautiful on the beach at night Drink pink moscato til' your eyes fall tired My eyes on you and your hands on mine Would you let me in Would you let me in again Well I hope you know your secrets Are safe with me That's what she wrote to me And I hope you know your voice Still rings inside of me That's what she wrote to me You look so beautiful asleep inside My passenger seat on this long car ride I almost crashed when you caught my eye It's true I lost my mind on you

about

Recorded over the course of one week in September of 2016, these songs served as catharsis for something that felt perpetual.

Though the reason they were recorded initially has changed come the present, I hope their connotation will shape shift for others.

All proceeds from the "Fight The Good Fight" EP will be donated to RAINN.

Our nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization.
